ProteusDS subscription plans
Single User Basic
- A Single User Basic subscription is only for the use of a single named user. The single named user is the only authorized user.
- A Single User Basic subscription allows for the software installation on one computer only.
- A Single User Basic subscription does not allow the software installation on a virtual computer or on a computer that is accessed by multiple users.
- The Single User Basic subscription has access to any toolsets that were purchased.
- The Single User Basic subscription permits up to one (1) concurrent simulation.
- Parallel processing capabilities are not available.
- We require the name, email address, and organization of the named user prior to issuing an Activation Code. Activation Codes will not be provided to IT professionals, vendors, managers, administrators, or other intermediaries.
- The installed software requires an ongoing and active internet connection to periodically validate subscription status.
Single User Standard
- A Single User Standard subscription is only for the use of a single named user. The single named user is the only authorized user.
- A Single User Standard subscription allows for the software installation on up to two computers (e.g., a desktop and a laptop).
- A Single User Standard subscription does not allow the software installation on a virtual computer or on a computer that is accessed by multiple users.
- The Single User Standard subscription has access to any toolsets that were purchased.
- The Single User Standard subscription permits up to sixteen (16) concurrent simulations.
- Parallel processing capabilities are available.
- We require the name, email address, and organization of the named user prior to issuing an Activation Code. Activation Codes will not be provided to IT professionals, vendors, managers, administrators, or other intermediaries.
- The installed software requires an internet connection to periodically validate subscription status.
- The Single User Standard subscription allows for a request to be made to put a single computer into ‘offline’ mode (not requiring an active Internet connection) for up to three (3) months at a time to facilitate work in remote locations (e.g. offshore)
Team subscription
- A Team subscription is only for the use of named users. The named users are the only authorized users. The number of allowable named users for a Team subscription is defined at the time of subscription purchase.
- A Team subscription allows for the software installation on up to two computers (e.g., a desktop and a laptop) by each named user.
- A Team subscription does not allow the software installation on a virtual computer or on a computer that is accessed by multiple users, unless computer access is limited to named members listed for the Team subscription.
- Each named user has access to any toolsets that were purchased.
- A Team subscription permits up to sixteen (16) concurrent simulations per named user
- Parallel processing capabilities are available.
- We require the name, email address, and organization of each named user prior to issuing an Activation Code. Activation Codes will not be provided to IT professionals, vendors, managers, administrators, or other intermediaries.
- The installed software requires an internet connection to periodically validate subscription status.
- The Team subscription allows for a request to be made to put a single computer per named user into ‘offline’ mode (not requiring an active Internet connection) for up to three (3) months at a time.
ProteusDS software activation
ProteusDS is activated with a software Activation Code provided by DSA Ocean. The PC must be connected to the internet for license activation and periodic authentication.
ProteusDS is licensed using a two-step authentication procedure. New users download ProteusDS from the website here:

Software delivery
All DSA software and software updates are delivered electronically via the ProteusDS.com website. Activation Codes for purchased subscriptions are available once payment or Purchase Order has been received by DSA Ocean.
Computer hardware and Operating System requirements
DSA software supports the Windows 10 (64bit) operating system with >.NET 4.0 installed; a dedicated graphics card
(>512MB; AMD, NVidia) with updated graphics drivers; and a three-button mouse with a scroll-wheel are recommended.
Running DSA software on virtual machine software of any type is not allowed and provides cause for DSA to revoke, at its sole discretion, any or all existing licenses for a client to use DSA software. In such an event, no refunds will be provided. Virtual machine software includes, but is not limited to, VMWare, VirtualPC, and VirtualBox. Exceptions for software use on a virtual machine environment may be made on a case-by-case basis.
Training
DSA’s software products are advanced numerical analysis tools which require in-depth understanding of finite-element analysis, hydrodynamics, and numerical methods. It is recommended that each user invest in the appropriate training package for their software license.
Software unexpected behavior
Unexpected behaviour or unintended flaws with supported functionality should be reported to support@dsaocean.com.

General guidance can be provided with inquiries to support@dsaocean.com. Note DSA Ocean engineers are available for consulting services in a paid contract agreement to provide design services.
End-User License Agreement
Each software installation is subject to individual End-User License Agreements (EULA) which must be agreed to upon installation of the applicable software.
Software updates
As DSA Software is offered exclusively through annual subscriptions. Users always have access to the latest versions. DSA regularly makes new releases available that introduce new functionality and address critical issues.
Payment options
We accept purchase orders for all of the below payment methods. Upon receipt of a purchase order, we will issue an invoice. We wait for payment before issuing software Activation Codes. International payments are arranged by regional resellers or by Paddle.com or by applicable direct payment methods to DSA Ocean including wire transfer and credit card.
For international orders, software is made available for digital download, and the purchaser is responsible for paying all applicable taxes, duties and fees. We use Paddle.com for international payments as a merchant of record to facilitate any value added tax compliance. You must agree to the terms and conditions of Paddle.com to proceed with payment through this method.
